The Haliburton Youth Hub works with young people aged 12-25 years, a group sometimes overlooked at Christmas time. Each Christmas season the parish supports the Youth Hub by providing Christmas satchels for 50 young people; each contains gift cards for food, sundries and gifts, as well as financial support for the Youth Hub transportation fund.
The ‘St. Nick’s satchels’ are named for St. Nicholas, the Bishop of Myra, whose legendary gift-giving gave rise to our current Santa Claus.
