Restoration continues with clean-up in Wilberforce and upcoming Potluck Dinner
/More from ‘Restoration officer’ and St. George’s choir member/parishioner Fred Shuttleworth
We love you, Jim Burk (centre)!
A few days ago, about 15 parishioners enjoyed the fellowship of a Work Day in the sunshine at Wilberforce [cleaning up the area around our decommissioned sister church and parsonage— Ed.] under the leadership of Jim Burk.
Now, we can all look forward to the Potluck Dinner on Friday, September 25th at 5:30 PM. If you intend to go, we would appreciate it if you fill out the sheet in the front hall for planning purposes. There will not be any donation or charge attached to the dinner. Let's just enjoy the moment and each other at a parish dinner.
On Sunday, I gave you the wrong date for the end of the Restore Our House campaign. My apologies; I was suffering from PWWDS that morning (Post Wilberforce Work Day Syndrome). The final day always was and continues to be Sunday, October 4th, the date on the donation envelopes.
While we are keeping up with parish news, have you looked around our wonderful website lately, maintained with expertise and dedication by Susanna Perry-Ettel? Enjoy Susanna's pictorial contributions to a recent email, then send a link to your friends. Just beautiful.
No, I haven't forgotten. Our donations total is now $31,456!
Restore Our House! Thank you.
